The oil painting of Cheese Board and Fine Cider sold on the first day of h.Art in 2025. There is however, a limited edition fine art giclee print available of it. The original painting was part of a series of paintings – A Taste of Herefordshire. In Herefordshire, there are 15,000 acres of cider orchards and 20 makers, and I knew I couldn’t sample them all. I went instead to Tom Oliver’s Cider Farm and met the man himself who introduced me to Fine Cider, which was a revelation. Fine cider, like fine wine, also has its own set of glassware. This composition also celebrates local cheeses -Monkland Garlic and Chives, Hereford Hop, and Yarlington. My thanks go to Tom Oliver and to The Cheese Pantry in Ledbury for their enthusiasm and support in my research.
The painting Perry Pears in a Copper Skillet with Perry is also part of the Taste of Herefordshire series. There is also a print of this painting.
The print is made using archival, premium-quality Canon Lucia Pigmented ink. It’s printed on 280gsm Archival Fine Art Paper, which ensures the minimum display life of 75-100 years under normal conditions. Each print is personally inspected, signed and numbered.
