The painting is framed in a bespoke hand-crafted wood frame from Hang it All Framers in Worcester. I use this frame on all my gold leaf paintings as it helps highlight the beauty of the gold leaf.
Strawberries have been a popular subject in my still life fruit paintings this year. I particularly like bright red against a warm gold background. I think this is the last of the season for 2024.
