Pink Tulips Shadow Play is part of a series of paintings which explore flowers and their colourful shadows including Sweet Peas Shadow Play. I decided to keep a very simple palette of colours to help focus on the dancing shapes of the flowers, leaves and shadows. I love the arrival of tulips in the spring and they are a constant subject for my paintings.
