Vibrant and full of movement this original oil painting is created on a dappled 23 carat gold leaf background. It is one of my favourites and the only one currently left in this series of dappled gold paintings. The radiant gold surface provides a softly distressed, shimmering base that makes the rich magenta petals stand out. The tulips’ rhythmic, sweeping leaves give the composition a sense of graceful motion—like flowers caught in a gentle breeze.
