Gilded Purple Iris

I return to iris paintings on a regular basis and I particularly love the combination of gold leaf and highly saturated purples. Clearly my customers also enjoy this combination too as it is currently my only remaining iris painting on gold which I originally kept for our own collection. In our new house I have reordered our hangings and this gilded iris has been replaced by another – so it is now available for sale. The painting is framed in a bespoke hand-crafted wood frame from Hang it All Framers in Worcester. I use this frame on all my gold leaf paintings as it helps highlight the beauty of the gold leaf.
