Framing – A personal decision
At my Spetchley Park Gardens exhibition, I recognised again how personal framing is. Most of my work is presented framed for exhibition. Yet, for the U.S., my online gallery prefers to send pieces unframed (to avoid shipping damage). Many of you choose frames to harmonise with your décor, and I’m really grateful to Martin Hill of Hang It All Frames in Worcester for his expert guidance. I usually quote paintings inclusive of framing, but if you’d prefer an unframed version of any painting on this site, simply contact me and I’ll adjust the price accordingly. And if you’d like help selecting a frame that complements your home, I’m happy to help! The photograph below shows a recent sold painting where a bespoke frame was made to work with the client’s colour scheme.

Cushion Competition -Your vote counts
I’ve been exploring art merchandise, and this month I entered Wraptious national cushion design competition. It’s free to enter, and each design is on display on Facebook, where people can vote and purchase. I submitted designs featuring Spetchley Pink Rose, Magenta Peonies (see below), and Sweet Peas Shadowplay. If you’re on Facebook, I’d love your support. Do vote for your favourite and help spread the word. The competition ends on 16th July. You can find my entries here: Wraptious Facebook. And if cushions aren’t your thing do follow my Facebook page. I tend to duplicate what I put in Instagram on Facebook. On both social media outlets I am @nicolacurrieartist.
