I’ve just returned from my solo exhibition Floral Fiesta at Spetchley Park Gardens, and what a joy it was! It was wonderful to see so many friends old and new – thank you for your kind words and generous support. I’m very grateful.

A Colourful May in the Studio
May has been bursting with inspiration. I discovered a wonderful local flower grower, Rozanne Delamore, the Ledbury Flower Farmer. Her flowers are stunning, and perfect for painting. She also offers floral workshops and has a potential space for exhibitions.

Gallery News
I’m delighted to now be exhibiting at Abbey Galleries in Tewkesbury, alongside Pershore Gallery. Both are beautifully curated spaces run by the lovely husband-and-wife team, Chris and Jilly Oxlade-Arnott. They also offer custom framing.

These beautiful red-pink peonies were irresistible. Painted in stages (they open so quickly), I cooled them between sittings to capture each bloom at its best. This piece is part of a new mini-series in white St Ives frames.

A graceful continuation of the peony story as the buds opened and danced their way into bloom.

Looking Ahead

Next up: restocking my still life collection ahead of summer Open Studios in Worcestershire and Herefordshire. Darker still life works were popular at both Bath Art Fair and Spetchley—so expect cherries and berries soon (we’re lucky to have farms close by for endless inspiration). Illustrated here is the painting A Taste of Summer which sold at Spetchley.

Couldn’t make it to Spetchley? You can browse all available paintings and prints on this  website.
