We have now lived in Ledbury for more than a month and although we have unpacked most of the boxes we are still at the ‘sorting out’ stage. However my studio is nearly there and working in this sunlit space next to Ledbury’s town trail is a daily delight. We are also exploring the stunningly beautiful countryside around us and enjoying the arrival of spring flowers. Ledbury even has a bus line called the Daffodil Line.
Inspired by the colours of spring I have launched a new range of cards and a new print just in time for Mother’s Day, Easter, and spring birthdays.
Spring Flowers Card packs
My card prices have remained the same since my first open studios 5 years ago – £3 a card. Spetchley Park Gardens wanted to continue stocking my cards after my artist residency there and our move to Ledbury so I have put together pack of 6 cards – two Narcissi in a Bristol Blue Vase, two Harlequin Tulips and two Sunlit Purple Iris based on oil paintings of the same name. I can post these to viewers living on the UK mainline for £16 – so a bit of a bargain. Each card comes with a white envelope and in a cellophane wrap. If you are interested just contact me with your address and I will send you an invoice. Individual cards can be purchased at Spetchley Park Gardens, near Worcester when it opens on 19th March. Take a look in the Flowers section of this website to see the available paintings these cards are based on.
New Print – Narcissi in a Bristol Blue Vase

Ombersley Flower Farm was the inspiration for this painting and their incredible selection of traditional narcissi. I recognised that the painting would work well as a print. The national award winning printer – Iris Print in Hanley Swan – have created a 12×12 inch (image) limited edition (100) giclee print for me. The cost of the print and postage is £70. Please contact me if you are interested. Take a look at other available prints in the shop on this site. Prints on this website can be mounted or mounted and framed and I can get them to you in time for Mother’s Day (Sunday 30th March) or Easter (Sunday 20th April).
Looking ahead
I am going to take part in Herefordshire Art Week – known as h.art from our home in Ledbury this September 6th-14th, so save the dates. I hope by that time to have the studio in order and look forward to welcoming guests as we did in Worcester. I will give more details nearer the time. I am also probably taking part in Worcestershire Open Studios too, with a Worcestershire based gallery, but the details aren’t yet finalised. Worcestershire Open Studios take place from 16th-25th August.
If you would like to be the first to hear about new paintings, prints and cards and receive invitations to private views please join my subscribers and let me know your email and particular interests in art. I would love to hear from you. Contact me here.
