I am busy preparing work for a forthcoming Christmas Fair. Six Barbourne Artists have recently joined forces to form a local North Worcester artist group. We are having our first fair at St George’s Church Hall, St George’s Square on Saturday 2nd December from 10am-4pm. We believe in shopping locally and are offering visitors a unique selection of creative Christmas gifts which are all locally made.
The artists include painters Cherrie Mansfield, Caroline Hall, Margaret Powell, Nicola Currie, Felicity Osborne and textile artist Jane Arthur. All of the artists are well established and they will be selling paintings, limited edition prints, coasters, mugs, cards, textiles, jewellery, cushions and notebooks. I will be selling my new selection of oil paintings, new limited edition prints and cards.
We know the benefits of shopping local and Worcester is a city with a thriving artist community. If you are looking for stocking fillers, gifts for relatives and friends or a treat for yourself do come along.” Cherrie commented “we aim to provide pieces to suit a wide variety of tastes and budgets without incurring postage, transport or gallery costs. This is so local that Felicity is wheeling the display boards for the show from the Royal Grammar School up the Tything!”
The event coincides with the Worcester Victorian Christmas Fair and so people can drop in on their way there.
