I have nearly completed all the paintings for my forthcoming exhibition at Spetchley Park Gardens, Worcester, at the end of the month. This painting of a simple avocado uses a restricted palette. I decided to create a set of paintings using the same palette for the exhibition, as buyers sometimes want to buy two similar paintings. In this set is a yellow iris, a lemon, a yellow peony and this avocado. All of them will be framed in a wooden tray type frame.
Plans for the Exhibition – A Profusion of Peonies are well underway. The posters are up, the banner is ordered and new card designs have arrived. The title of the exhibition was chosen because the gardens are full of peonies in May. However the show will also include paintings of many different flowers in addition to a peony collection. There will also be some new still life fruit paintings and prints and cards.

Details of the Profusion of Peonies exhibition
I am setting up in the morning of Friday 26 May and will be open from 11am-5. I will then be open all day (10.30am-5pm) on the Saturday and Sunday 27-29 May and again from Wednesday 31 May –Friday 2 June, although I will close at 4pm on the final day in order to take the exhibition down. Entrance to the exhibition is free with an entrance ticket to the gardens. Book your tickets here.
