I have just returned from a very busy and exciting weekend at the Bath Art Fair. I have to thank the organisers – Alce Harfield and her team – for all their work in making the Fair run so smoothly. I am also grateful to my husband, family and friends for all their help in preparing for the exhibition. I met many new art collectors and people interested in art during the three days and it was lovely to receive such appreciative comments about my work. The gold paintings and still life fruit paintings proved popular this time. Welcome to my new followers from the Fair. It was good to meet you and I look forward to seeing you again next year, if not before.
One of the many benefits of art fairs is that you are able to discuss art with fellow artists and at Bath there was a real camaraderie amongst the participants. I have come home full of ideas and plans for the future. Due to preparations for the Fair there is just one new painting to share with you now.
I love painting lemons especially at this time of year when it is cold and dull outside. These Sorrento lemons became available locally and I decided to paint them with a sky coloured background with the wispy clouds echoing their dancing leaves.
Sorrento Lemons is an oil painting on extra fine linen canvas 30x40cm/11.8×15.74 inches. It is currently unframed but would work well in a white or off-white frame.
